The SRSG chaired a meeting of the High Level Committee (HLC) on 15 December 2009 in Nairobi, which was attended by the Somali PM Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke, and a number of cabinet ministers. The SRSG appealed to the participants to continue working as a team in pursuit of the stabilization of Somalia. The PM outlined initiatives, which the TFG had embarked on towards reconciliation as well as to build the security sector.
