Closure of MINURCAT

The United Nations Mission in the Central African Republic and Chad (MINURCAT) mandate ended on 31 December 2010 following UN Security Council Resolution 1923, with Chad assuming responsibility for civilian protection and UN agencies continuing peacebuilding efforts.

Visit of SRSG Victor Angelo to Central African Republic

N'Djamena, Chad, 20 March 2008 – The Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) in Chad, Mr. Victor Angelo, visited the Central African Republic on 19-20 March 2008, and met with the authorities of the country as well as with representatives of the five Permanent members of the Security Council residing in Bangui, members of the diplomatic corps, and his counterparts of the UN system in the capital Bangui. read more in PDF format
