MINUSCA investigates on allegations against peacekeepers

The United Nations mission in Central African Republic (MINUSCA) was informed about allegations of smuggling activities involving peacekeepers in the western region of Bouar.

MINUSCA is committed to shed light on these allegations. In accordance with its rules and regulations, the Mission’s Force deployed a team to further enquire on these claims. If they are confirmed, the Mission will take strict sanctions against the perpetrators.

MINUSCA will not allow unacceptable acts from some of its personnel affect the work and sacrifice of peacekeepers in the Central African Republic.
