Readout of Secretary-General's meeting with H.E Mr. Faustin-Archange Touadera, President of the Central African Republic

The Secretary-General met with H.E Mr. Faustin-Archange Touadera, President of the Central African Republic.
The Secretary General welcomed ongoing efforts to implement the Political Agreement for Peace and Reconciliation signed in February 2019.
 
The Secretary-General and the President took stock of the progress and challenges in the preparation of the presidential and legislative elections scheduled for late 2020 and early 2021.
 
Finally, they discussed the challenging humanitarian situation in the country and the ongoing efforts to implement the national development plan (RCPCA).
