The United Nations – African Union Hybrid Operation in Darfur (UNAMID) mandate ended on 31 December 2020 following UN Security Council Resolution 2559, concluding over a decade of peacekeeping efforts to stabilize Darfur and protect civilians.

22 July 2010 - UNAMID's team site in Malha, located 175 northeast of El Fasher, reports of armed non-Governmental forces forces in North Darfur. The troops, on board as many as 80 vehicles, were seen in the areas of Umbayada, Marega and Wadi Osher villages, 95 km east, 59 km east and 37 km south of Malha respectively. The intention of the forces in the area remains unclear.

No additional significant items were noted during the reporting period.
