25 May 2018 - A truck carrying communications equipment for the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) was seized for a few hours earlier this week by FPRC elements in Ndélé, in the Bamingui-Bangoran prefecture (north of the Central African Republic).
17 May 2018 - A peacekeeper of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) was killed and eight others were wounded on Thursday morning, 28 km south of Alindao, in southern Central African Republic. The peacekeepers, all belonging to the Mauritanian contingent, were ambushed by presumed anti-Balaka elements.
01 May 2018 - On Tuesday, May 1st, 2018, Central African internal security forces exchanged fire with armed elements of the “Force” criminal group, in Fatima neighborhood, 3rd district of Bangui. The incidents occurred after a member of the criminal group was arrested by the internal security forces.
08 Apr 2018 - On Sunday 8 April at 2:00 a.m. the Central African Armed Defense Forces (FACA), Internal Security Forces (ISF), and MINUSCA launched a joint disarmament and arrest operation targeting the bases of criminal groups in the PK5 neighborhood of Bangui.
03 Apr 2018 - On the morning of 3 April, at 5 a.m., the MINUSCA temporary base in Tagbara village, located 60 km northeast of Bambari, in Ouaka prefecture, came under attack from anti-Balaka elements.
The peacekeepers and assailants engaged in a firefight over the course of several hours, during which a blue helmet was killed, 11 other peacekeepers were wounded and more than 22 anti-Balaka elements were killed.
07 Mar 2018 - The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) takes seriously the allegations of sexual abuse committed by its troops, which were made by Bishop of Bangassou Monseigneur Aguire, in a Spanish newspaper.
19 Feb 2018 - The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) has been informed of an allegation of sexual abuse, by a member of the military battalion from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), formerly deployed to MINUSCA, against a 14 year old girl who as a result became pregnant and gave birth to a baby. The abuse reportedly occurred between 2015 and 2016 in Bambari.
