04 Dec 2017 - One Mauritanian police member of the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic, MINUSCA, was killed Monday morning in Bria, in the centre of the country, in an attack by anti-Balaka elements. Three other police peacekeepers – two Mauritanians and one Zambian – were slightly injured during the attack, which occurred at a MINUSCA police checkpoint at the entrance of Bria’s largest IDP camp, home to almost 35,000 people.

17 Oct 2017 - The United Nations published today a report describing violations and abuses of international human rights and violations of humanitarian law committed in the prefectures of Haute-Kotto and Ouaka of the Central African Republic (CAR) as a result of armed clashes between rival ex-Seleka factions Front Populaire pour la Renaissance de la Centrafrique (FPRC) and Unité pour la Paix en Centrafrique(UPC) from 21 November 2016 and 21 February 2017.

19 Aug 2017 - The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) is taking appropriate measures to contain the violence outbreak in Bria (450 km northeast of Bangui) between presumed anti-Balaka elements and the FPRC Arab faction.
