03 Apr 2018 - On the morning of 3 April, at 5 a.m., the MINUSCA temporary base in Tagbara village, located 60 km northeast of Bambari, in Ouaka prefecture, came under attack from anti-Balaka elements.
The peacekeepers and assailants engaged in a firefight over the course of several hours, during which a blue helmet was killed, 11 other peacekeepers were wounded and more than 22 anti-Balaka elements were killed.

19 Feb 2018 - The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) has been informed of an allegation of sexual abuse, by a member of the military battalion from the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), formerly deployed to MINUSCA, against a 14 year old girl who as a result became pregnant and gave birth to a baby. The abuse reportedly occurred between 2015 and 2016 in Bambari.

04 Dec 2017 - One Mauritanian police member of the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic, MINUSCA, was killed Monday morning in Bria, in the centre of the country, in an attack by anti-Balaka elements. Three other police peacekeepers – two Mauritanians and one Zambian – were slightly injured during the attack, which occurred at a MINUSCA police checkpoint at the entrance of Bria’s largest IDP camp, home to almost 35,000 people.
17 Oct 2017 - The United Nations published today a report describing violations and abuses of international human rights and violations of humanitarian law committed in the prefectures of Haute-Kotto and Ouaka of the Central African Republic (CAR) as a result of armed clashes between rival ex-Seleka factions Front Populaire pour la Renaissance de la Centrafrique (FPRC) and Unité pour la Paix en Centrafrique(UPC) from 21 November 2016 and 21 February 2017.
