  • 17 Sep 2016 - The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) denounces the violence and looting that occurred Friday in Kaga Bandoro, following tensions between anti-Balaka and ex-Seleka elements in Ndomete and then in Kaga Bandoro.
  • 14 Aug 2016 - Early on the morning of Saturday 13 August 2016, MINUSCA forces stopped a convoy of approximately 35 heavily armed men in seven vehicles 50 km south of Sibut. The 35 were believed to include several who are the subject of arrest warrants. The convoy had departed Bangui late on 12 August 2016 and exchanged fire with national security forces at several checkpoints en route. These incidents resulted in a number of deaths and injuries.
  • 23 Jul 2016 - The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) welcomes the release on Saturday of the mayor, the sub-prefect and the priest of the western city of Baboua by the Democratic Front for the Central African People (FDPC). The hostages were detained since 16 July 2015 and have been handed over today to the authorities of Nana Mambéré.
  • 18 Jul 2016 -  The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) welcomes the release on July 17 of the last eleven Cameroonian hostages held by the Democratic Front for the Central African People (FDPC). The hostages were handed over to the Cameroonian authorities after more than two years of captivity.

    The United Nations mission in Central African Republic (MINUSCA) was informed about allegations of smuggling activities involving peacekeepers in the western region of Bouar. MINUSCA is committed to shed light on these allegations. In accordance with its rules and regulations, the Mission’s Force deployed a team to further enquire on these claims. If they are confirmed, the Mission will take strict sanctions against the perpetrators.
  • 27 Jun 2016 - A peacekeeper of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) was shot dead by unidentified armed men on June 24 2016 in Bangui.
  • 25 Jun 2016 - The United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) welcomes the release of the six Central African policemen who were held hostages by armed elements. MINUSCA applauds the perseverance of the negotiating team that contributed to their release without the use of force.
  • 21 Jun 2016 - Peacekeepers of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA) mounted a military operation in the PK5 area of Bangui in the early afternoon of 20 June 2016 to extract Central African and UN policemen from the Commissariat building which was surrounded by a hostile and armed crowd.
